KAT Centre Nepal depends greatly on volunteers who donate their time and talent to help the animals. Without volunteers, we could not accomplish or advance our mission. Improving the welfare of animals is a big job. But every little thing you do to help solve the problems of overpopulation, cruelty, neglect, and irresponsible pet ownership counts.
The KAT Centre Nepal Volunteer Program will give you the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of all animals. We couldn’t conduct all the hands-on work that we do at KAT Center Nepal without the aid of a fantastic group of volunteers!

Steps to becoming a
KAT Nepal Volunteer
All new volunteers are required to attend a new volunteer orientation. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.
At the session, prospective volunteers will receive a tour of the center and specific information on volunteering and volunteer opportunities in the shelter. During the session, new volunteers will learn how to log their time and when shifts are available.
- Apply to become a volunteer.
- Review and sign the Volunteer Agreement.
- Sign up for a Volunteer Orientation.
- Sign up for your first shift and get hands on training to become a KAT Nepal Volunteer.
- Be able to volunteer at least 2 to 4 hours per week.
- Complete your course of Rabies Vaccinations.
- Support KAT Nepal’s policies and philosophies wholeheartedly.
- Have fun.
