become a

Animal Care Volunteer

Volunteers are the foundation of our organization. Every year, animal lovers from all over the world volunteer at KAT Centre Nepal, creating a beautiful melting pot of cultures united by a common goal: animal welfare. Volunteers help with animal care, medical care (only for vet graduates or vet students), adoptions, awareness, and education programs.

A distinction from other recues, KAT Centre Nepal has 2 ambulances, and you will get the opportunity to go out in the ambulances while rescuing sick and injured dogs.

KAT Centre Nepal is approximately 25 minutes from Thamel by bus or Pathio.

If you would like to volunteer and make a difference for the animals of Nepal, please contact us

Help provide the shelter’s dogs and cats with physical activity and enrichment through walks, playtime, and more by assisting with cleaning out the kennels, helping out at feeding times, cleaning and grooming animals, checking animals daily and monitoring their health. You will also help with general cleaning, laundry, dishes, and other essential tasks. For the safety of our animals and volunteers, only volunteers who can demonstrate proper handling after training will be approved. Documented Rabies Vaccinations required.”
